The Mace was recently borrowed by Steyning Town Council and displayed at their meeting on Monday 14th September. Perhaps you haven’t noticed the Mace: it sits above the door leading into the Museum. In the video below skip to 1 min 29 secs:

Museum Closure
We regret that due to the extreme temperatures forecast for the next few days the museum will be CLOSED on Thursday & Friday (9th & 10th July). We aim to re-open on Saturday.
