We rely on our Members:
the museum is run entirely by volunteers.
Our success is due to the enthusiasm and commitment of people who offer their support. Steyning Museum’s running costs have to be met through local fund raising and donations. We have no regular income. Help and contributions are therefore always most welcome.
If you would like to join as a Member of Steyning Museum Trust, we could:
Send you our quarterly newsletter;
Share our interest in the history of this beautiful area;
Introduce you to more people within the community;
Provide a resource for your children’s education;
Provide talks on topics of local historical interest.
We have a regular Members Newsletter, informative talks about local history, our own special events and involvement in local community activities such as the Steyning Fair. Our stewards, who welcome the public to the museum, are a friendly band always on hand for members too.If you can offer just a little of your time, here are some of the ways you could help us as a Member of Steyning Museum Trust:
Pay an annual subscription (only £10);
Become a steward (only three hours a month);
Help us to run stalls at festivals and fetes;
Make tea or bake cakes for events;
Help deliver the quarterly newsletter;
Use craft or design skills to stage exhibitions;
Support our fund raising events;
Join the Committee;
Help with cataloguing;
Write articles for the website.
