"Industry"

Gas holder

The exhibition looks at the various industries mainly in the Steyning area but also includes the Upper Beeding Cement Works. There are several images that have not been displayed in the museum before, particularly of the Tannery in Tanyard Lane.

Other topics include the Gas Works, Electric works, milling, clock making, the Forge, railway, brewing and construction. There are some wonderful images of local folk hard at work in trades that have disappeared. 

The exhibition is on show from late May onwards.

 "Steyning's Treasures"

A celebration of the Treasures Act 1996. Due to open in July

and

 "Gert and Daisy's Wartime Cookbook"

the Museum's contribution for the 2017 Steyning Food and Drink Festival.
